8kg Winter Ready Pro + 1L Seaweed Lawn Booster 8%
The pair for the cold months. Winter Ready Pro goes down in late autumn or early winter and toughens the grass against frost, cold and disease without forcing soft growth. Seaweed keeps the roots working underneath while the top has stopped. Together they get the lawn through winter in shape rather than just surviving it.
Save 10% compared to buying both on their own.
How To Apply Our Fertiliser
Want to get the best results? Our free Beginners Guide to Fertilising Your Lawn covers everything from spreader settings to professional application techniques.
Standard application:
After stress such as drought:
Q: When should I apply it?
Late autumn through winter, November to February, to harden the lawn off against the cold. Don't apply to frozen ground or in frost.
Q: How much do I need?
Apply at 25 to 35 grams per m². We recommend 30 grams per m² as it gives great results with a little overlap around the edges. The 8kg bag covers 228 to 320m². Use our lawn measurement tool to work out exactly what you need.
Q: How quickly will I see results?
This one isn't about a fast green-up. Growth is slow in winter, so most of the work happens below the surface, strengthening the plant and protecting it against the cold. The real payoff is how well the lawn comes through winter and into spring.
Q: Will it stain my patio or driveway?
It shouldn't as our granular products are iron free. That said, it's always best to brush or blow any product off hard surfaces, just to be safe.
Q: How long does it last?
6 to 8 weeks. Growth is slow in winter so it's released slowly.
Q: Do I need a spreader?
Yes as a spreader gives you even coverage and prevents patchy results. Hand spreading isn't recommended.
Q: What spreader setting should I use?
This varies by spreader model and walking speed. We have a quick start guide on the learning hub.
Q: Can I apply it in the rain?
Light rain after applying is fine and will help water it in. Avoid applying to frozen ground, or just before very heavy rain that could wash the product off before it has a chance to work.
Q: What if I accidentally over-apply?
Water the area thoroughly to dilute the product and reduce the risk of any scorch. If frost is forecast, wait for milder conditions before watering in.
Q: Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes, once it's settled and dry. Grazing pets like rabbits and guinea pigs should be kept off for two weeks or three cuts, whichever comes first.
Q: How much do I need?
A 1 litre bottle treats 250 to 500m² depending on the application rate. For regular maintenance and healthy lawns, the lower rate covers up to 500m². For stressed, patchy or nutrient deficient lawns the higher rate covers 250m².
Q: How often should I apply it?
Once a month year round alongside your granular fertiliser programme. In winter, pick a mild day.
Q: How do I apply it?
Dilute and apply with a garden sprayer or watering can.
Q: Will I see an instant result like the iron?
Not in the same way. Seaweed works beneath the surface improving soil health and root strength, so the results build over time and make everything else you apply work better.
Q: Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes, it's a natural product and safe once applied.
Yes I have been using Seaweed Lawn Booster now for several months and Im starting to see the results.
Brilliant product
Does what it says on the tin/bottle
I started following Robbie primarily because the Antrim Coast has very similar weather patterns to the West of Scotland where I'm. I found the majority of similar lawn advisors were based much further South and due to the temperature differentials growing starts earlier and goes on longer.
Having used proprietary brands for >40 years, which I have to say do the job but never seem to quite produce the results I hoped for.
I thought l'd try some of the "iGrow Carpet" products. I purchased the small, enough for me to make a single application, "Summer Power Pack" Having followed Robbie's advice re mowing during the "Heatwave" I was cutting slightly higher twice a week combine that with setting the spreader at half the recommended dose, but doing two passes East to West then South to North. As there was no rain forecast I watered on alternate days and I noticed a difference within a couple of days.
Bottom Line - I am very happy with the initial results.
Loving the product and all the info you’re providing! Slightly obsessed now! Keep up the excellent work. Been recommending you to others.
