Quick Answers

Why is my grass turning yellow?

Usually it's lack of nitrogen - a proper feed will restore colour within 2-3 weeks. Could also be overwatering, underwatering, or compacted soil. Check the video guide for a full diagnosis.

How do I fix dog urine patches?

Rake out the dead grass, water well to dilute remaining salts, add a thin layer of topsoil, overseed, and keep moist. To prevent new patches, water the area immediately after your dog goes.

What's the light green clumpy grass in my lawn?

Probably POA annua or Yorkshire fog - weed grasses that grow faster than your lawn. No selective herbicide can kill them, so focus on building a thick lawn that outcompetes them.

How do I level a bumpy lawn?

For small bumps: apply thin layers of topsoil (1cm max), work into low spots, let grass grow through. Repeat until level. Best done in spring or autumn during active growth.
